Music is an integral part of my daily life, as I constantly listen to various songs that help me concentrate as I read, while at the same time entertaining and inspiring me. In general I listen to a wide range of musical genres from classical to rock.Another thing I particularly like is to discover music that is popular in foreign countries (apart from English and Greek songs) and to observe the peculiarities that exist in each genre, depending on the country in which it has been adopted. Some of my favorite genres are R&B, Rock and Jazz. I also really like Korean and Japanese music, and I recently discovered an Italian band (yes, I'm referring to the Eurovision winners 😂) that matched my taste from the first minute. So the following playlist includes all these genres and all these languages (ok maybe I have a particular preference for Korean music 😂), which I will try to point out to you in the description of each song. So choose the ones that pique your interest.

I hope you enjoy them!

DPR LIVE - Text Me | A COLORS SHOW

Hong Da Bin tries to attract the girl he likes by asking her to send him a message when she is free through his energetic, rap track "Text Me". The thing that amazes me in this song is the way the lyrics suddenly switch from Korean to English and vice versa! You can find their meaning in the comment of the channel that has uploaded the specific video that is first in the corresponding field.

OFFONOFF - 춤

OFFONOFF invites us to dance with them to the R&B rhythms of their song, named "Dance", which concerns the singer's love for his other half.

English Music

Måneskin - For your love

Måneskin in their song "For your Love", tells us about the toxic relationship of the protagonist and his muse in which he confesses that he would do anything for her love.

Arctic Monkeys - 505

Arctic Monkeys in their rock track "505", their first proper love song as they have called it, talk about the endless love of the protagonist of the song for his ex, and his efforts to mend their relationship,, which are in vain because she turns him down in the end.

Arctic Monkeys - Old Yellow Bricks

In the energetic "Old Yellow Bricks", Arctic Monkeys tells us about the life of its protagonist, that tries to escape from her life as it is, sacrificing her relationship with her relatives and friends, thinking that this is what she truly wants. When she finally achieves this, she realizes that it was not as she expected and now more mature than before, she wishes that her life was as it used to be. The song uses many references to the story of Dorothy of the movie Wizard of Oz.

Italian Music

Måneskin - Coraline

The song "Caroline", as Måneskin themselves have stated, is their fairytale, the story of a little girl who can't seem to find her place in the world, because she is very pure and fragile. Through a sweet melody, it follows a path that gradually becomes more intense, seemingly desperate, but tries to give it hope. The story, however, does not have a happy ending, because that's often the case in real life., something that the group itself wanted to express.

Måneskin - Vent'anni

Through "Vent'anni", Måneskin tell their peers to be their real selves and that although this age may seem scary to them, it is normal for them to make mistakes in their endeavors to create something wonderful, believing that they will be someone if they remain different from others.

Japanese Music

ONE OK ROCK - Heartache

ONE OK ROCK through this rock ballad, with English and Japanese lyrics, express the pain of the protagonist of this song, who regrets letting his loved one go.

RADWIMPS -Nandemonaiya

"Nandemonaiya" (It is nothing) is the soundtrack of the anime film named Kimi no Na wa (Your name) and concerns its protagonists, while it also touches upon many of the story’s themes such as loneliness, the fleeting nature of memories and the separation from time and distance.

Joe Hisaishi - Merry-Go-Round of Life

This song is a piece of classical music, written by the great Japanese musician Joe Hisaishi and it is one of the soundtracks of the anime film Howl's Moving Castle, which was released in 2004 by Studio Ghibli. As its title suggests, this melody will convey the feelings of nostalgia and joy.

I hope you enjoyed some of these songs I suggested!
